Designing immersive systems to deliver information
We are all capable of absorbing truly vast amounts of information in a very short space of time. Many everyday activities, driving a car, shopping in a supermarket are examples of this. Fast-changing visual, aural and tactile sensations allow us to take in huge amounts of information and act upon what's important. It is within environments where we use our perceptions of movement in three dimensional space as well touch and sound that we are able to distinguish important differences and changes. We call these immersive environments. Infomagnet design such environments for organisations whose business relies on reacting to information.
