We design systems for people to find information.

Our systems are designed along scientific principles to achieve specific goals. We observe and measure how different users interact with your computer interface (by use of eye-tracking and user monitoring). With the help of those destined to use your system, we create ideas that could yield improvements. We experiment and we methodically test against our original measurements to ensure that the improvements you get are real.

What are immersive environments?

We design environments which involve our capacities of sensation and observation as fully as possible. These are immersive environments - they mimic many features of our everyday world and make use of our capacities to think intuitively and reason logically. We do not create virtual reality environments - instead, we design user interfaces which use 3D, movement, colour and audio to signal information types, changes and scales in much the same way as we perceive these qualities in the real world.

Evolution, not revolution.

Frightened of revolutionary computer systems and interfaces? You should be! We advocate "evolution, not revolution" as a design philosophy for computer systems and interface design. Even when a revolutionary design can be made to work from a technological point of view, it is rare that it works from the human side. Instead, we make incremental improvements wherever possible - and in doing so, we avoid the costs and the headaches of implementing systems that require retraining and a loss of productivity.
