Improving Information Exchange with a Screen.

Your business relies on accurate information. You have a computer system that delivers it quickly - but the "rate-determining-step" - the source of errors and your information bottleneck remains the interaction of operators with their computer terminals. This is where many costly errors and delays lie. We can improve this situation, reducing operational risk for your organisation.

We study operator interactions with their screen and their environment. To do this, we use non-intrusive techniques such as eye-tracking as well as video and audio monitoring. Understanding a user's eye movement as well as their facial expressions and body language is critical - it allows us to spot productive work trends as well as hesitancy, double-checking, tiredness, confusion, uncertainty and irritability. It also allows us to identify eye signatures associated with high-risk events.

From the information gathered during observation, we help you create guidelines for a low-risk working envelope for your staff - one that avoids tiredness and excessive levels of concentration and stress. We ensure that your current systems create the most healthy, responsive and informed interaction that is possible and we advise on improvements that can be made to increase operator / system performance.

User analysis and eye-tracking in partnership with Bunnyfoot.

Bunnyfoot Universality - usability and eye-trackingeye-tracking is a non invasive and accurate way of observing how operators interact with a systemBunnyfoot Universality are the UK's leading usability consultants and pioneers in the use of eye tracking.

We work with Bunnyfoot to analyse and report on the human and business aspects of your staff's interaction with your computer systems, their interfaces and their environments. Analysis is carried out either off-site in Bunnyfoot's laboratories in Oxfordshire or on-site at your work premises, depending on the type and scope of work required.

Bunnyfoot are independent consultants who are not directly involved in systems or interface design. This allows us to offer a completely impartial assessment of your current systems.

What is eye tracking?

Eye tracking allows us to see precisely where you are looking. It uses specially designed equipment and software that allows us to see what you are looking at, how long you spend looking at it, how long it took you to find it and the invisible patterns made by your eyes as you track and search for information. By following these eye tracks, we can see the way you to react to changing information, where your eye is drawn as well as what distracts or confuses you.

The eye-tracking systems we recommend are non-invasive. This means that a user is almost completely unaware of equipment or any other intrusion into their normal workspace; this is important as some systems, such as those which are worn by users, can distort results due to awareness of their presence.
